A typical Dozer service costs anywhere between $120 and $150 an hour depending on the size of machinery used. We all know Dozing Mesquite involves several processes in order to get the root system completely out of the ground. Just to list a few, you first have to doze the existing vegetation, once that’s completed you burn the piles. Because dozing doesn’t efficiently get to the root system of Mesquite or Wesach you then have to root plow your newly dozed pasture. Upon root plowing you then have to move the remaining root systems and burn them not to mention re-grade your pasture again. Your final process, now that you have completely reduced your grass land to dirt is to go back and reseed your grass.
THE UP SIDE OF GRUBBING:
With the Grubbur we eliminate half the steps involved in dozing. At almost the same cost per hour our machine is able to pull the vegetation completely out of the ground root system and all. During that process we can shake a majority of the rock and dirt out of the root system making it easier for you to burn or mulch at a later date. The brush can be piled into manageable burn piles or even into win rows making it easier for us to mulch with our other machines. Your grassland virtually goes untouched as the ground disturbance is very minimal compared to dozing. The advantage is that you save money by eliminating multipule steps and you get to keep your grassland.
Please Note: Our mulching machines are a separate cost if you’re interested in mulching the Mesquite, Wesach, or Cedar after it has been Grubbed.
REGROWTH OF CEDARS
"The Cedar Eater mulched hundreds of cedars at the Broken O Ranch in 2001 to 2003. We had also used a bulldozer to clear some of the land during the same time. Four years later we are faced with an unbelievable amount of regrowth cedar resulting from the bulldozing and very little from the Cedar Eater. "
