Cedar Eaters of Texas is a premier land clearing company that services the entire state of Texas. Our company takes great pride in what we do and it’s important to every member of the Cedar Eater team to leave a positive impact on the land and each customer we encounter. Landowners across the country know that owning property is hard work. They also know that their biggest adversary with maintaining a property is typically brush control. Cedar Eaters of Texas specializes in a multitude of land clearing methods and services that can help landowners with their specific clearing needs. In Texas, we primarily deal with cedar clearing, mesquite clearing, and various types of brush & under brush clearing.
Our “Cedar Eater” mulching machines can reduce standing vegetation into mulch quickly and cost-effectively. This process is considered environmentally-friendly since we are mulching vegetation completely down to ground level with minimal soil disturbance. The MULCHING METHOD leaves behind a beneficial layer of mulch that promotes healthy habitat recovery for years to come.

INCREASE THE VALUE OF YOUR LAND
Cedar Eaters of Texas is a HUB-Certified (Woman-Owned Business) Contractor with the State of Texas. We have successfully completed both large & small land clearing projects for military installations around the San Antonio area. In 2008, we began work on a 5-year project with Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis under contract with Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources through a Cooperative Ecosystem Study Unit (CESU) funded by Joint Base San Antonio. During this project, we cleared over 1,700 acres on Camp Bullis and have seen the benefits of our service come to life. For the past decade, we have also sub-contracted work for military installations across the area, including: Lackland Airforce Base, Camp Stanley, and Fort Hood; helping contractors finish their land clearing projects on time and under budget. In 2014, we were sub-contracted to clear training sites at McAlester Army Ammunitions Plant in Oklahoma and are slated to return in 2015. The Cedar Eater team has worked with numerous municipalities, government entities (like Texas Parks and Wildlife Department), and various contractors on city and state park projects as well as underground and above-ground utility projects.
Cedar Eater mulching machines are the cleanest and most cost-efficient way to perform brush clearing on Right-of-Way clearing projects. Stan Hegener, our President, has over 35 years of experience in the industrial and pipeline construction industry. Having managed a large scale industrial construction business for over 20 years in Southwest Louisiana, he understands the importance of SAFETY on energy projects. NATURAL DISASTER RECOVERY
The Cedar Eater timber mulchers are the best application for clearing burnt or dead vegetation after a devastating wildfire. The mulch left behind adds nourishing organic nutrients back into the ground that has been stripped of all natural nutrients, aiding in a speedy recovery process. We have helped landowners recover from devastating wildfires in Bastrop, TX; Junction, TX; Possum Kingdom, TX and Graham, TX.
Cedar Eaters was also one of the first to respond following the historic flooding in Wimberley, Texas; partnering with a local church to clear flood debris. Additionally, we have helped multiple private landowners in Wimberley and along the Blanco River, not only clearing debris but creating natural flood barriers to aid in future flood events.
